The 2020-21 college basketball season is quickly approaching and the anticipation is growing. With the start of the season, comes the recognition of some of the best players in the game. This year, four players have been named as unanimous selections to the Associated Press Preseason All-American team. Joining Kolek, Dickinson, Filipowski, and Bacot is Purdue center Zach Edey.

Edey is a 6-foot-11 center from Toronto, Canada who has been a key piece for the Boilermakers since his freshman year. He averaged 11.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game last season and was named to the All-Big Ten Third Team. He also led the Big Ten in blocks with 2.3 per game.

Edey is a versatile player who can play both inside and out. He has the ability to stretch the floor and knock down threes, as well as dominate in the paint. His size and strength make him a force on both ends of the court. He is a great rebounder and rim protector, and he can also handle the ball and create shots for himself and his teammates.

Edey is a great example of hard work paying off. He has improved every year since he arrived at Purdue and his selection as a unanimous AP Preseason All-American is a testament to his dedication and commitment to the game. He has worked hard to become one of the best players in college basketball and he is now being recognized for it.

Edey joins Kolek, Dickinson, Filipowski, and Bacot as unanimous selections to the AP Preseason All-American team. This is an impressive accomplishment for any player, but especially for Edey who has worked hard to get to this point in his career. With Edey leading the way, Purdue looks to be a contender in the Big Ten this season and could make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.
