The New York Yankees had a great day at the ballpark on Sunday, shutting out the San Francisco Giants behind a stellar performance from sluggers Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge. The Yankees won the game 5-0, with Stanton and Judge both hitting home runs. The Yankees also received a supportive performance from utility player Ruben Brito, who filled in for injured outfielder Aaron Hicks.

Stanton started the scoring in the first inning with a solo home run to left field. It was his first home run since returning from the injured list, and it set the tone for the rest of the game. Judge followed up with a two-run shot in the third inning, giving the Yankees a 3-0 lead. The Yankees added two more runs in the sixth inning, thanks to an RBI single from Brito.

Brito was filling in for Hicks, who is currently on the injured list with a hamstring injury. Brito made the most of his opportunity, going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. He also made several key defensive plays in the outfield, helping to preserve the shutout.

The Yankees pitching staff also played a key role in the victory. Starter Masahiro Tanaka pitched seven shutout innings, allowing just four hits and striking out nine batters. Relievers Adam Ottavino and Zack Britton each pitched a scoreless inning to close out the game.

The Yankees’ win over the Giants was a great team effort, with Stanton and Judge leading the way at the plate and Brito providing key support in the outfield. The Yankees will look to continue their winning ways as they head into their next series against the Baltimore Orioles.
