Women’s AP Top 25 Poll Remains Unchanged with South Carolina, UCLA, and NC State in Top 10

It’s been a big week for women’s college basketball, with the latest AP Top 25 Poll remaining unchanged from the previous week. The top three spots are held by South Carolina, UCLA, and NC State, respectively. All three teams have been consistently ranked in the top 10 since the start of the season and have continued to show their dominance on the court.

South Carolina has been the number one team in the poll since the start of the season and they have yet to be challenged. The Gamecocks have a perfect record of 17-0 and have won every game by double digits. They are led by senior guard Tyasha Harris, who is averaging 14.3 points and 5.7 assists per game. South Carolina is currently ranked first in the nation in scoring defense, allowing just 48.9 points per game.

UCLA is ranked second in the poll and has been a consistent presence in the top 10 all season. The Bruins are led by senior guard Michaela Onyenwere, who is averaging 18.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. UCLA has won their last four games and are currently 15-2 on the season. They are ranked second in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 83.3 points per game.

NC State rounds out the top three teams in the poll and has been a mainstay in the top 10 since the start of the season. The Wolfpack are led by senior guard Aislinn Konig, who is averaging 14.2 points and 4.3 assists per game. NC State is currently 14-2 on the season and have won their last three games. They are ranked third in the nation in scoring defense, allowing just 53.1 points per game.

It’s clear that these three teams are some of the best in women’s college basketball this season and it looks like they will remain at the top of the AP Top 25 Poll for the foreseeable future. With South Carolina, UCLA, and NC State all in the top 10, it’s sure to be an exciting end to the season for women’s college basketball fans.
