The Washington State University Cougars have made a big splash in the college football world by signing transfer quarterback Zevi Eckhaus from Bryant University of the FCS. Eckhaus is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound quarterback who had an impressive career at Bryant, throwing for over 3,000 yards and 24 touchdowns in his two seasons with the Bulldogs.

Eckhaus is expected to compete for the starting quarterback job at Washington State this fall. He will join a crowded quarterback room that includes returning starter Anthony Gordon and redshirt freshman Cammon Cooper. Eckhaus brings a wealth of experience to the Cougars, having started 20 games in his two years at Bryant. He also brings a winning pedigree, having led the Bulldogs to an 8-4 record and a share of the Northeast Conference championship in 2018.

Eckhaus is a dual-threat quarterback who can make plays with both his arm and his legs. He has the ability to extend plays with his feet and has shown the ability to make accurate throws on the run. He also has a strong arm and can make all the throws necessary to be successful in the Pac-12.

Washington State head coach Nick Rolovich is excited to add Eckhaus to the roster. “Zevi is a great addition to our program,” Rolovich said. “He’s a proven winner and a great leader who will bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to our team. We’re looking forward to having him in Pullman and seeing what he can do for us this fall.”

Eckhaus is eager to get started at Washington State and is looking forward to competing for the starting job. “I’m really excited to be joining the Cougars,” Eckhaus said. “I know I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I’m ready for the challenge and I can’t wait to get started.”

Washington State fans should be excited about the addition of Eckhaus to the roster. He brings a wealth of experience and talent to the Cougars and could be the spark that helps them take the next step in their quest for Pac-12 glory.
