Washington State Football: Leo Pulalasi and Underclassmen Shine in First Scrimmage

Cougar Football, Cougars, Sports Seattle

Washington State football had its first scrimmage of the season this past weekend, and it was a great success. The Cougars, led by sophomore quarterback Leo Pulalasi, put on an impressive performance. Pulalasi was the star of the show, throwing for two touchdowns and completing 16 of his 22 passes. He also ran for a touchdown and showed off his athleticism.

The Cougars also had some impressive performances from their underclassmen. Freshman running back Jaden Robinson had a great game, rushing for over 100 yards and a touchdown. He showed off his speed and agility, and looks to be a great addition to the team. Freshman wide receiver Jaxon Smith also had a great game, catching four passes for over 50 yards.

The Cougars defense also had a strong showing, with the secondary making some big plays. Senior safety Isaiah Davis had a great game, recording two interceptions and returning one for a touchdown. He showed off his ball-hawking skills and looks to be a great leader for the defense this season.

Overall, the Cougars had a great first scrimmage of the season. Pulalasi and the underclassmen shined, and the defense made some big plays. If the Cougars can continue to build on this performance, they should have a successful season.
