The Washington State Cougars have added two former Oregon players to their roster from the NCAA transfer portal.
The first player is defensive back Jevon Holland, who was a three-year starter for the Ducks. He was a Freshman All-American in 2018 and was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team in 2019. He had three interceptions and seven pass breakups last season. He is expected to be a key contributor to the Cougars’ defense in 2021.
The second player is offensive lineman Ryan Walk, who was a four-year starter for the Ducks. He was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team in 2019 and was a part of an offensive line that allowed just 11 sacks in 2019, which was the fewest in the Pac-12. He is expected to provide depth and experience to the Cougars’ offensive line.
The addition of these two players is a big boost for the Cougars, as they look to build on their 8-5 record from last season. With these two experienced players, the Cougars should be in good shape to make a run at the Pac-12 title in 2021.
It will be interesting to see how these two players fit into the Cougars’ system and how they will help the team reach its goals this season. With their experience and talent, the Cougars should be one of the top teams in the Pac-12 this year.
