The Washington Huskies have added a new pass-rusher to their roster through the transfer portal. B.J. Green, a former Arizona State Sun Devil, will join the team for the upcoming season.

Green was a three-star recruit coming out of high school and was ranked as the No. 24 defensive end in the nation by 247Sports. He was a four-year starter at Arizona State and finished his career with 14 sacks and 25 tackles for loss. He was also named to the All-Pac-12 second team in 2019.

The Huskies are hoping that Green can bring some much-needed depth to their defensive line. Washington has been searching for a pass-rusher since the departure of Joe Tryon, who left for the NFL draft this past spring. With Green’s experience and talent, he should be able to fill that role.

Green is also a great fit for the Huskies’ defense. He has the size and athleticism to play both defensive end and outside linebacker, which will give the team more flexibility when it comes to their defensive schemes.

Washington is hoping that Green can help them improve their pass rush and become a more dominant defense in 2021. With his experience and skill set, he should be able to make an immediate impact on the team.

The addition of Green is a great move for the Huskies and should help them take the next step towards becoming a top-tier program.
