The University of Washington (UW) softball team is gearing up for the Women’s College World Series (WCWS). This year, the Huskies are looking to make their sixth consecutive appearance in the WCWS, and they have their sights set on a national championship.

The Huskies have had a successful season so far, with a record of 39-10. They have been led by their pitching staff, which includes All-American Gabbie Plain and freshman pitcher Makinlee Sellevold. Plain has been dominant in the circle, posting a 1.50 ERA and striking out over 200 batters this season. Sellevold has also been impressive, posting a 2.09 ERA and striking out over 100 batters.

The Huskies have also been strong offensively, led by All-American catcher Morganne Flores. Flores has been a force at the plate, batting .400 with 11 home runs and 44 RBIs. She has also been a leader behind the plate, throwing out over half of the runners who have attempted to steal against her.

The Huskies are also deep in the infield, with All-American shortstop Sis Bates anchoring the left side of the infield. Bates is batting .400 with 10 home runs and 37 RBIs this season. She has also been a force on defense, making several highlight-reel plays at shortstop.

The Huskies will be looking to make a deep run in the WCWS this year. They have the talent and experience to make a run at the national championship, and they will be looking to make a statement in Oklahoma City.

The WCWS will begin on May 30th and will run through June 5th. The Huskies will be looking to make their sixth consecutive appearance in the WCWS and will be looking to bring home their first national championship in program history. It should be an exciting tournament, and the Huskies will be looking to make some noise in Oklahoma City.
