The United States Men’s National Soccer Team has advanced to the CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinals after a thrilling 3-2 shootout victory over Canada following a 2-2 draw. The match, which took place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, was a hard-fought battle between two of the region’s top teams.

The USA started the match off on the right foot, with midfielder Weston McKennie scoring in the 10th minute to give the Americans a 1-0 lead. Canada responded in the second half, however, with Jonathan David equalizing in the 64th minute and Alphonso Davies giving Canada the lead in the 73rd minute.
