The University of Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroos (UMKC) had a big win on Saturday night, defeating the Portland State Vikings 83-67. The Kangaroos were led by guard Brandon Mukeba, who scored 18 points and was instrumental in the team’s victory.

The Kangaroos came out of the gate strong, taking an early lead and never looking back. Mukeba was a force to be reckoned with, scoring 12 points in the first half alone. He was able to get to the basket and hit shots from all over the court, helping UMKC build a comfortable lead.

The Vikings were able to cut the lead to five points at one point in the second half, but the Kangaroos were able to respond with a run of their own. Mukeba was again a key contributor, scoring six points in the second half to help UMKC pull away.

The Kangaroos had great contributions from other players as well. Guard Xavier Bishop had 13 points and five assists, while forward Jordan Giles had 11 points and nine rebounds.

The win was a big one for UMKC, as they improved to 4-2 on the season. The Kangaroos will look to keep their momentum going as they take on the University of South Dakota next Saturday. With Mukeba leading the way, UMKC looks poised to make some noise in the Summit League this season.
