The UCLA Bruins football team is in the midst of a quarterback competition to replace Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who has declared for the 2021 NFL Draft. The Bruins have four quarterbacks vying for the starting role: Chase Griffin, Chase Artopoeus, Jake Garcia, and Noah Fifita. Each of these quarterbacks brings a unique set of skills and abilities to the table, making it difficult for head coach Chip Kelly to decide who will be the starter.

Chase Griffin is a redshirt freshman from San Diego, California. He is a dual-threat quarterback who can make plays with both his arm and his legs. He has good size at 6’3” and 220 pounds, and he is a very accurate passer. Griffin has shown flashes of brilliance in his limited playing time, and he could be the favorite to win the job.

Chase Artopoeus is a redshirt sophomore from Santa Ana, California. He is a pro-style quarterback who excels in the pocket. He has great size at 6’5” and 225 pounds, and he has a strong arm. Artopoeus has been in the program for two years, so he has a good understanding of the offense. He could be the dark horse in this competition.

Jake Garcia is a true freshman from La Habra, California. He is a dual-threat quarterback who can make plays with both his arm and his legs. He has good size at 6’2” and 200 pounds, and he is an accurate passer. Garcia has been impressive in spring practice and could be the surprise of the competition.

Noah Fifita is a redshirt freshman from San Diego, California. He is a pro-style quarterback who excels in the pocket. He has great size at 6’4” and 220 pounds, and he has a strong arm. Fifita has been in the program for two years, so he has a good understanding of the offense. He could be the wild card in this competition.

The quarterback competition at UCLA is sure to be an interesting one. All four quarterbacks bring something different to the table, and it will be up to head coach Chip Kelly to decide who will be the starter. It will be exciting to see who emerges as the leader of the Bruins offense in 2021.
