Seahawks Wide Receiver DK Metcalf Fined for Unnecessary Roughness in Bengals Game

The Seattle Seahawks’ wide receiver DK Metcalf was recently fined for unnecessary roughness in the team’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Metcalf was penalized for a hit on Bengals safety Vonn Bell during the fourth quarter of the game.

The hit occurred after Bell intercepted a pass from Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. As Bell was running down the sideline, Metcalf came up and delivered a shoulder to the back of Bell’s head, causing him to fall to the ground.

The NFL has now fined Metcalf $12,500 for the hit, citing that it was an unnecessary roughness penalty. This is not the first time Metcalf has been fined for a hit this season, as he was also fined for a hit on Arizona Cardinals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick earlier in the year.

Metcalf has been one of the most productive receivers in the NFL this season, with 1,039 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Despite his success on the field, Metcalf has been criticized for his lack of discipline when it comes to his physical play.

The Seahawks have been vocal in their support of Metcalf, saying that he is a great player and that they do not condone his actions. They have also said that they will continue to work with Metcalf to ensure he understands the importance of playing within the rules.

It remains to be seen if Metcalf will be able to stay out of trouble and continue to be successful on the field. If he can do so, he could be one of the most dominant receivers in the NFL for years to come.
