The University of Washington Huskies remain undefeated after a sloppy win against the Oregon Ducks on Saturday. The game was close throughout, but a pick-six from senior safety Mishael Powell in the fourth quarter sealed the victory for the Huskies.

Powell’s interception came with just over three minutes left in the game and the Huskies leading by only three points. He jumped a route and returned the ball 25 yards for a touchdown, giving the Huskies a 10-point lead and ultimately securing the win. It was Powell’s second interception of the game and his fourth of the season.

The Huskies’ defense was impressive throughout the game, holding the Ducks to just 13 points. The Huskies also forced three turnovers, including two interceptions and one fumble recovery. Senior linebacker Joe Tryon had a monster game, recording 11 tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles.

Offensively, the Huskies were led by junior quarterback Dylan Morris. Morris completed 22 of his 33 pass attempts for 250 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown. Senior running back Richard Newton had a big day as well, rushing for 103 yards and a touchdown.

The win was far from perfect for the Huskies, as they committed 11 penalties for 90 yards. They also had trouble sustaining drives, converting just 4 of 12 third down attempts. Despite these issues, the Huskies were able to remain undefeated thanks to Powell’s pick-six and a strong defensive performance.

The Huskies will look to continue their undefeated season next week when they take on the Arizona Wildcats. If they can come away with another win, they will be one step closer to an undefeated regular season and a possible Pac-12 championship.
