Montana Defeats Idaho State 76-68 in Basketball Game

The Montana Grizzlies had a big win over the Idaho State Bengals on Saturday night, with a final score of 76-68. The Grizzlies had a strong showing from their starting lineup, with four players scoring in double digits.

Leading the way for Montana was guard Kendal Manuel, who had a game-high 24 points and 4 assists. Manuel was able to get to the rim and knock down shots from the perimeter, helping the Grizzlies pull away in the second half. Forward Sayeed Pridgett also had a big game, finishing with 19 points and 8 rebounds.

The Bengals put up a good fight, led by guard Chier Maker who finished with 20 points and 4 assists. Maker was able to keep Idaho State in the game with his ability to get to the rim and knock down shots from the outside. Forward Robert Jones also had a solid performance, finishing with 16 points and 8 rebounds.

The Grizzlies were able to pull away in the second half thanks to their strong defense. Montana held Idaho State to just 37% shooting from the field and forced 16 turnovers. The Grizzlies were able to capitalize on those turnovers, scoring 19 points off of them.

The win was a big one for Montana, as it puts them in a tie for first place in the Big Sky Conference standings. The Grizzlies will look to continue their winning ways as they take on Eastern Washington on Thursday night.
