The Miami Marlins put on a show at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday night, as they hit five home runs to end the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 11-game winning streak with an 11-3 victory. The Marlins got off to a hot start, scoring three runs in the first inning and never looking back.

The Marlins’ offense was led by third baseman Brian Anderson, who hit two home runs and drove in four runs. Catcher Jorge Alfaro also had a big night, hitting a two-run homer in the fourth inning. The Marlins also got home runs from Garrett Cooper and Miguel Rojas.

The Marlins’ pitching staff was also impressive, as starter Sandy Alcantara allowed just one run over six innings of work. Reliever Tayron Guerrero pitched two scoreless innings in relief, while closer Sergio Romo closed out the game with a scoreless ninth inning.

The win was the Marlins’ fourth in a row and their sixth in their last seven games. It was also their first win over the Dodgers since June of 2018. The Marlins have now won five of their last six games against the Dodgers.

The loss snapped the Dodgers’ 11-game winning streak, which was the longest in the majors this season. The Dodgers had been on a roll, winning 18 of their last 21 games.

The Marlins will look to keep the momentum going as they continue their road trip with a four-game series against the San Francisco Giants starting Thursday night. The Marlins will send Caleb Smith to the mound in the series opener, while the Giants will counter with Jeff Samardzija.
