The first game of the series was a close one, with the Mariners taking the lead late in the game and holding on for a 4-3 victory. The second game saw the Mariners jump out to an early lead and cruise to an 8-3 win. The third game was a back-and-forth affair, with the Guardians taking a 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth inning.
The Mariners had several chances to tie or take the lead in the bottom of the ninth, but were unable to capitalize. They had runners on first and second with no outs, but were unable to get them across home plate. They then had runners on second and third with one out, but again failed to score. Finally, with two outs and a runner on third, they were unable to get the run home and lost the game 4-3.
The Mariners had plenty of chances to take all three games in the series, but ultimately were unable to do so. They had some good pitching performances, but their offense was unable to come through when it mattered most. The Guardians were able to take advantage of their opportunities and came away with a win in the final game of the series.
The Mariners will now look to regroup and prepare for their next series against the Royals. They will need to find a way to capitalize on their opportunities if they want to have success going forward. It will be interesting to see how they respond after this disappointing series against the Guardians.
