Mariners Activate J.P. Crawford, Place Emerson Hancock on Concussion Injured List

Mariners, MLB, Sports Seattle

The Seattle Mariners have made a roster move, activating shortstop J.P. Crawford from the 10-day injured list and placing right-handed pitcher Emerson Hancock on the 7-day concussion injured list.

Crawford had been out since April 28th with a left quad strain. He was hitting .250 with two home runs and four RBIs in 18 games before the injury. The Mariners hope that his return will help bolster their offense and defense.

Emerson Hancock was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list after being hit in the head by a line drive during a game on May 4th. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation and released later that day. The Mariners are taking every precaution to ensure that he is healthy and ready to return to the mound as soon as possible.

The Mariners have been struggling this season, but they hope that the return of Crawford and the eventual return of Hancock will help turn things around. They are looking forward to having both players back in the lineup and contributing to the team’s success.
