The Liberty have done it! After a tough battle in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals, the Liberty have avoided a sweep and earned an 87-73 win over the Aces. Tina Charles and Kia Nurse led the way for the Liberty, scoring 24 and 22 points respectively. However, it was the combined effort of Betnijah Laney and Sabrina Ionescu that made the difference.

Laney and Ionescu combined for 33 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists in the win. Laney was especially impressive, shooting 11-15 from the field and 5-7 from three-point range. She also had 3 steals and 2 blocks to help the Liberty secure the win. Ionescu was also solid, shooting 8-14 from the field and dishing out 4 assists.

The Liberty were also helped by the strong play of Amanda Zahui B and Asia Durr. Zahui B had 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks in the win, while Durr chipped in with 8 points and 5 assists.

The Aces were led by Liz Cambage and Jackie Young, who combined for 34 points and 12 rebounds. Cambage had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Young added 16 points and 2 assists. However, it wasn’t enough to overcome the strong performance of the Liberty.

The Liberty now have a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series. Game 4 will be played on Thursday, with the Liberty looking to close out the series and win their first WNBA championship since 2002. It will be a tough battle, but if the Liberty can continue to play as they did in Game 3, they should be able to bring home the title.
