John Christofilis Out 6-8 Weeks with Hand Fracture: SU Men’s Basketball Guard Sidelined

Seattle Seattle University, Sports

It’s been a tough week for Seattle University Men’s Basketball as they have announced that guard John Christofilis will be out for 6-8 weeks with a hand fracture. Christofilis, a senior from Seattle, WA, has been a key contributor to the team since his freshman year. He has started in all but one game this season and is averaging 11.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.

Christofilis suffered the injury in practice last week when he collided with another player while going for a loose ball. He was immediately taken to the hospital where doctors diagnosed him with a fracture in his right hand. After consulting with the team’s medical staff, it was decided that Christofilis would need to sit out for 6-8 weeks in order to fully recover from the injury.

The loss of Christofilis is a huge blow to the team as they were already without their starting point guard, who is out with a knee injury. Without Christofilis, the team will have to rely on their other guards to pick up the slack. It will be a difficult task for the team to make up for his absence, but they are confident they can do it.

The Seattle University Men’s Basketball team wishes John Christofilis a speedy recovery and looks forward to having him back on the court soon. In the meantime, they will have to find a way to make up for his absence and continue their winning ways.
