The Seattle Mariners have been blessed with a great addition to their bullpen this season in the form of Isaiah Crawford. Crawford has had an impressive journey to the big leagues, and he is now ready to make an impact for the Mariners.

Crawford was drafted in the fifth round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Mariners out of the University of South Alabama. He had a great college career, posting a 3.14 ERA and striking out over 100 batters in his final season. After being drafted, Crawford quickly rose through the Mariners’ farm system, making stops at Single-A Everett, Double-A Arkansas, and Triple-A Tacoma.

At each level, Crawford continued to impress, posting a 2.73 ERA in Everett, a 3.38 ERA in Arkansas, and a 2.25 ERA in Tacoma. He also struck out over 100 batters at each level, showing that he was ready for the next step.

The Mariners finally called up Crawford to the big leagues in August of 2020, and he has not looked back since. In his first eight appearances, Crawford posted a 1.42 ERA and struck out 12 batters in 12.2 innings of work. He has been a great addition to the Mariners’ bullpen and looks to be a key piece of their future success.

Crawford’s journey to the Mariners’ bullpen has been impressive, and he looks ready to make an impact for the team this season. He has shown that he can handle each level of the minors and is now ready to take on the challenge of pitching in the big leagues.
