The University of Georgia Bulldogs have been hard at work this offseason, and one of the biggest questions has been who will be the starting quarterback. After months of speculation, it appears that redshirt freshman D’Wan Beck has secured the top spot on the quarterback depth chart.

Beck, a four-star recruit from Georgia, was highly sought after coming out of high school. He has been competing with redshirt sophomore Stetson Bennett IV and freshman Carson Beck for the starting job. While Beck has been impressive in practice, head coach Kirby Smart has yet to officially declare a winner.

Smart has been taking a cautious approach with the quarterback competition. He has said that he wants to make sure that the best player is chosen for the job and that he doesn’t want to rush into a decision. Smart also noted that he wants to make sure that all three quarterbacks have a fair chance to compete for the starting job.

While Beck appears to be the frontrunner for the job, Smart has yet to make an official announcement. It is likely that he will wait until closer to the start of the season before making his decision. Until then, Beck will continue to compete with Bennett and Beck for the starting job.

Regardless of who wins the job, the Bulldogs have a strong group of quarterbacks to choose from. All three have shown potential in practice and have the potential to lead Georgia to success this season. It will be interesting to see who Smart chooses as the starter, but until then, Beck remains the frontrunner for the job.
