Washington State University volleyball team had an impressive season series sweep against the University of Washington this year. The Cougars won all three matches, with the final match being a 3-1 victory on the Huskies’ home court.
The Cougars were led by their senior captain, Kayla Lommori, who had a stellar performance throughout the series. She recorded a total of 16 kills and 11 digs in the final match, helping her team to victory. Lommori was also named the Pac-12 Player of the Week for her efforts.
The Cougars also had great performances from their other players, including junior setter Ella Lajos who had a total of 33 assists in the final match. Sophomore outside hitter Makayla Washington also had a great performance, recording 12 kills and 8 digs.
The Cougars have been on a roll lately, having won nine out of their last ten matches. They have been playing well and have been able to beat some of the top teams in the conference. This season series sweep against the Huskies is a testament to how far the Cougars have come in recent years.
The Cougars are now looking ahead to the rest of their season and hope to continue their winning streak. With their strong performances against top teams in the conference, they are looking to make a deep run in the Pac-12 tournament and potentially make it to the NCAA tournament.
