The Washington Men’s Basketball team had a tough outing on Saturday, falling to the Nevada Wolf Pack in a high-scoring affair. The Huskies were led by senior guard Quade Green, who scored a team-high 24 points on 8-of-14 shooting. Green was joined by freshman guard Jaden McDaniels, who added 17 points and 8 rebounds, and sophomore forward Isaiah Stewart, who contributed 15 points and 8 rebounds.

Despite the strong offensive performance from the Huskies, it was not enough to overcome the hot shooting of Nevada. The Wolf Pack shot an impressive 50.9% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range. Nevada was led by junior guard Jazz Johnson, who scored a game-high 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting. Johnson was joined by senior forward Jordan Caroline, who added 21 points and 8 rebounds, and freshman guard Jalen Harris, who chipped in 19 points and 8 assists.

The Huskies had a chance to tie the game late in the fourth quarter, but a last-second three-point attempt by Green rimmed out. Washington was outrebounded by Nevada 33-27 and committed 16 turnovers in the loss.

The loss drops Washington to 6-3 on the season and will likely drop them out of the top 25 rankings. The Huskies will look to bounce back on Tuesday when they take on the Oregon Ducks in Seattle.
