Vanessa Aniteye, Former Seattle Pacific Track Athlete, Nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year Award

Vanessa Aniteye, a former Seattle Pacific track athlete, has been nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award. This prestigious award recognizes female student-athletes who have achieved excellence in academics, athletics, service, and leadership.

Aniteye, a native of Seattle, Washington, graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2019 with a degree in Business Administration. During her time at SPU, she was a four-year member of the track and field team and was a two-time All-American in the 800-meter run. Aniteye also earned All-Conference honors in the 400-meter and 800-meter runs.

In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Aniteye was also an active member of the SPU community. She served as a mentor to younger student-athletes and was an advocate for diversity and inclusion on campus. Aniteye was also a leader in the classroom, earning a 3.8 GPA and graduating with honors.

Aniteye’s nomination for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award is a testament to her hard work and dedication. She is an inspiration to all student-athletes who strive to excel both on and off the field. Her commitment to excellence and her passion for helping others is an example for us all.
