Utah State Women’s Soccer Team Loses WAC Championship Match

The Utah State Women’s Soccer team had their dreams of a WAC Championship dashed on Saturday night, as they lost the WAC Championship match to the University of Idaho.

The Aggies had a strong season, finishing with a record of 11-6-3, and they were the top seed in the WAC tournament. They had a bye in the first round and then defeated the University of New Mexico in the semi-finals to advance to the championship match.

Unfortunately, the Aggies were unable to capitalize on their strong season and were defeated by the University of Idaho in the championship match. The Vandals scored two goals in the first half and held on for a 2-1 victory.

The Aggies had several chances to tie the match in the second half, but were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. Utah State goalkeeper Rachelle Warner made several key saves to keep her team in the match, but it was not enough to prevent the loss.

The loss was a disappointing end to the season for the Aggies, who had high hopes of winning the WAC Championship. Despite the loss, Utah State had a successful season and can look forward to next year with optimism.

The Aggies will return several key players next season, including Warner, who will be a senior. With a strong core of returning players, Utah State will look to make another run at the WAC Championship in 2020.
