The Utah State Aggies had a convincing victory over the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks on Saturday night, winning 84-53. The Aggies were led by senior guard Abel Osobor, who scored 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting.
Utah State came out of the gate strong, outscoring the Nighthawks 21-10 in the first quarter. The Aggies continued to build on their lead throughout the game, outscoring Northwest Nazarene in each of the remaining quarters.
Osobor was the star of the night for the Aggies, shooting an impressive 70% from the field. He also contributed four rebounds and two assists in the victory. Senior forward Justin Bean was also a key contributor for Utah State, scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
The Aggies’ defense was also impressive, holding the Nighthawks to just 33% shooting from the field. Utah State also forced 18 turnovers, which they converted into 23 points.
The win was a big one for Utah State, who improved to 8-2 on the season. The Aggies will look to carry this momentum into their next game against the University of Portland Pilots.
