The University of Washington men’s basketball team has recently received its first transfer commitment of the offseason. The Huskies have secured the commitment of guard Quade Green, who previously played for the University of Kentucky. Green is a 6-foot-1 guard from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was a four-star recruit coming out of high school.
Green averaged 8.0 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game during his freshman season at Kentucky. He was a key contributor off the bench for the Wildcats, providing a spark when needed. He also shot an impressive 41.1 percent from beyond the arc.
Green’s commitment to the Huskies is a major boost for their program. He brings a wealth of experience and talent to the team and will be an important piece of the puzzle as they look to make a run in the Pac-12 conference. His ability to shoot from deep will be a major asset for the Huskies as they look to spread the floor and open up driving lanes for their other players.
Green’s addition also provides some much-needed depth to the Huskies’ backcourt. With his ability to play both point guard and shooting guard, he gives the team more options and flexibility when it comes to their lineups. His presence will also allow the team to rest their starters more often, which should help them stay fresh throughout the season.
The Huskies have made a great addition with Green’s commitment and are now in a much better position to compete in the Pac-12 conference. With his experience and talent, he should be able to make an immediate impact on the team and help them reach their goals this upcoming season.
