The University of Washington Men’s Basketball team is making a difference in the life of a seven-year-old boy from Seattle. Through Team IMPACT, a national nonprofit organization, the team has adopted Ford Parks as an official member of the Huskies.
Ford was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Noonan Syndrome at birth. The condition affects his growth and development, and he has had to undergo several surgeries and treatments. Despite his medical challenges, Ford is a bright and energetic young boy who loves sports.
The University of Washington Men’s Basketball team has welcomed Ford with open arms. The team has made him an honorary member, and he attends practices, team meetings, and games. He even has his own locker in the locker room!
The team has also helped Ford build relationships with the players. He has become close with several of the players, who have taken him under their wings and treat him like family.
