The University of Connecticut Women’s Basketball team is looking to make history this season. After winning the National Championship last year, the Huskies are looking to become the first team in NCAA Division I history to win back-to-back titles.

The team is led by head coach Geno Auriemma, who has been at the helm of the program since 1985. He has led the Huskies to 11 National Championships, including last year’s title. This year’s team is loaded with talent, including five returning starters from last season.

The team is led by senior guard Kia Nurse, who was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four last year. She is joined by fellow seniors Gabby Williams and Azura Stevens, as well as juniors Katie Lou Samuelson and Napheesa Collier.

The Huskies have had a strong start to the season, with a record of 15-0. They have won all of their games by double digits, and have been dominant on both ends of the court. They are currently ranked number one in the nation, and are looking to stay there for the remainder of the season.

The team will face some tough competition throughout the season, including rival teams such as Notre Dame and Louisville. The Huskies will also have to battle through the American Athletic Conference tournament in order to make it back to the Final Four.

If the Huskies can make it back to the Final Four and win another National Championship, they will make history as the first team in NCAA Division I history to win back-to-back titles. It will be a difficult task, but with their talent and experience, the Huskies have a great chance of making history this season.
