It’s been a long time coming, but the Texas Tech Red Raiders have finally reunited former Washington State wide receiver Josh Kelly with Pullman in 2021. After spending the last two years at Texas Tech, Kelly will be returning to the Palouse this fall to join the Cougars’ football team.
Kelly was a standout wide receiver for the Cougars during his freshman and sophomore seasons, catching a total of 71 passes for 1,094 yards and seven touchdowns. He was also named to the All-Pac-12 second team in 2018. After his sophomore season, Kelly decided to transfer to Texas Tech, where he was able to continue his football career.
At Texas Tech, Kelly was a key contributor for the Red Raiders, catching 43 passes for 541 yards and three touchdowns during his two-year stint. He also earned All-Big 12 honorable mention honors in 2020.
