Texans’ QB C.J. Stroud Leaves Game with Concussion in Loss to Jets

NFL Seattle

The Houston Texans had a tough outing on Sunday, losing to the New York Jets by a score of 24-21. To make matters worse, quarterback C.J. Stroud was forced to leave the game in the fourth quarter after suffering a concussion.

Stroud, who was making his first career start, had a promising performance before the injury. He completed 18 of his 28 pass attempts for a total of 208 yards and two touchdowns. He also added another 21 yards on the ground.

The Texans had a chance to tie the game late in the fourth quarter, but Stroud was unable to finish the drive after taking a hard hit from Jets linebacker Tarell Basham. Stroud was evaluated for a concussion and ultimately ruled out for the remainder of the game.

The Texans will now have to turn to backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor as they look to rebound from this loss. Taylor has been with the team since 2019 and has plenty of experience as a starter in the NFL.

The Texans will also need to monitor Stroud’s progress closely in the coming days. Concussions can be tricky and it’s important that Stroud takes all the necessary steps to ensure a full recovery.

It was a tough day for the Texans, but they will look to regroup and get back on track as they prepare for their next game. They will need to hope that Stroud is able to make a full recovery and be ready to go when needed.
