The NHRA Northwest Nationals in Seattle, Washington was an exciting event this past weekend. Three drivers, Steve Torrence, Tim Wilkerson, and Gaige Herrera, all claimed victories in their respective classes.
Steve Torrence, the reigning Top Fuel champion, took home the win in the Top Fuel class. He defeated Doug Kalitta in the finals with a 3.715-second pass at 321.42 mph. This was Torrence’s fourth win of the season and his second consecutive victory at the Northwest Nationals.
Tim Wilkerson also had a successful weekend, claiming the Funny Car victory. He defeated John Force in the finals with a 4.068-second pass at 314.90 mph. This was Wilkerson’s first win of the season and his third career victory at the Northwest Nationals.
Gaige Herrera also had a great weekend, claiming the Pro Stock Motorcycle victory. He defeated Eddie Krawiec in the finals with a 6.848-second pass at 194.04 mph. This was Herrera’s first win of the season and his first career victory at the Northwest Nationals.
The NHRA Northwest Nationals was an exciting event for all three drivers. Steve Torrence, Tim Wilkerson, and Gaige Herrera all claimed victories in their respective classes and showed why they are some of the best drivers in the sport.
