The Pittsburgh Steelers overcame a three-game losing streak in impressive fashion on Sunday, defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 34-11. The Steelers were led by quarterback Mason Rudolph, who threw for two long touchdowns in the victory.
Rudolph had a stellar performance, completing 20 of 28 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns. His first touchdown was a 46-yard strike to wide receiver Diontae Johnson, and his second touchdown was a 53-yard bomb to wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. Rudolph also added a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
The Steelers defense also played a key role in the victory, limiting the Bengals to just 11 points and forcing two turnovers. Linebacker Devin Bush had a team-high eight tackles, while safety Minkah Fitzpatrick had an interception and a fumble recovery.
The win was a much-needed one for the Steelers, who had dropped three straight games prior to Sunday’s victory. The win improved their record to 5-4 on the season and kept them in the hunt for a playoff spot.
The Steelers will look to build on their momentum next week when they face the Los Angeles Rams on the road. With Rudolph continuing to improve and the defense playing well, the Steelers have a good chance of making a deep playoff run this season.
