The St. Thomas-Minnesota Tommies earned a hard-fought 75-67 victory over the Idaho Vandals on Wednesday night. The win was thanks in large part to the stellar performance of guard Jordan Dobbs, who scored 16 points and pulled down four rebounds.
The Tommies started the game strong, taking a 10-point lead into the half. But the Vandals fought back in the second half, cutting the lead to just two points with under five minutes to play. That’s when Dobbs stepped up, scoring eight of his 16 points in the final five minutes to help secure the win.
Dobbs was not the only one who contributed to the victory. Forward Tyler Weiss had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while guard Zach Hanson added 14 points and five assists. The Tommies also had a strong defensive performance, holding the Vandals to just 37 percent shooting from the field.
