It’s a sad day for Seattle Pacific University’s women’s soccer and volleyball teams, as both have been eliminated from the NCAA Division II playoffs.
The Seattle Pacific women’s soccer team had a great season, finishing with a 15-3-2 record and winning the Great Northwest Athletic Conference regular season title. Unfortunately, they were unable to make it past the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs, losing to Central Washington University in a close 2-1 match.
The Seattle Pacific women’s volleyball team also had a successful season, finishing with a 22-7 record and winning the GNAC regular season title. They were eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs, losing to Cal State San Bernardino in a 3-1 match.
It’s always tough to see a team’s season end, especially when they had such a successful year. The Seattle Pacific women’s soccer and volleyball teams should be proud of their accomplishments this season and look forward to next year.
Both teams have a lot of talent and should be able to make another run at the NCAA Division II playoffs next season. With the right combination of hard work and dedication, they could be playing in the championship game next year.
The Seattle Pacific community is disappointed to see the women’s soccer and volleyball teams eliminated from the NCAA Division II playoffs, but they should take solace in knowing that both teams had successful seasons and will be back next year.
