Sacramento Kings’ Mike Brown Named Unanimously as NBA Coach of the Year

NBA, Sports Seattle

The Sacramento Kings have made headlines recently with the announcement of Mike Brown being named the NBA Coach of the Year. Brown, who was hired as the team’s head coach in April of 2019, has led the Kings to a 39-41 record this season, their best since the 2005-06 season.

Brown has been praised for his ability to bring out the best in his players. He has been able to get the most out of his team, despite having a roster that is not considered to be one of the most talented in the league. He has also been credited with helping to develop the young core of De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, and Marvin Bagley III.

The Kings have also seen an improvement in their defense this season. Under Brown’s guidance, the team has gone from being one of the worst defensive teams in the league to one of the best. This improvement has been key to the team’s success this season and has been a major factor in why Brown was named Coach of the Year.

Brown is the first coach in Kings history to be named Coach of the Year and it is a well-deserved honor. He has done an incredible job in his first season with the team and has them on track to make the playoffs for the first time since 2006. With Brown at the helm, the future looks bright for the Sacramento Kings.
