The ceremony began with a video montage of the team’s journey throughout the season, followed by a speech from Sternberg. He thanked the players and coaches for their hard work and dedication, and said that he was proud of what they had accomplished. He also thanked the fans for their support throughout the season, and said that he was looking forward to a successful postseason run.
After Sternberg’s speech, the players and coaches were presented with special commemorative rings to mark the occasion. The rings feature the Rays’ logo and the words “Postseason Berth 2020” engraved on them. The players and coaches then posed for photos with their rings before heading out to the field to celebrate with the fans.
