Ravens Coach Reports Oweh Close to Returning After Missing Four Consecutive Games

It looks like the Baltimore Ravens are getting closer to having a key player back on the field. Coach John Harbaugh reported that defensive end Odafe Oweh is close to returning after missing four consecutive games due to an undisclosed injury.

Oweh, a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, has been out of action since Week 8. He has been dealing with an undisclosed injury, but Harbaugh said he has been making progress and is close to returning.

“Oweh is close,” Harbaugh said. “He’s doing well. He’s been able to practice the last couple of weeks. He’s been able to do some things, and he’s getting closer.”

Oweh has been a key part of the Ravens’ defense this season, recording two sacks and 11 tackles in seven games. His return would be a welcome sight for the Ravens, who have struggled to generate a consistent pass rush this season.

The Ravens have also been without defensive end Calais Campbell for the past two games due to a calf injury. Harbaugh said Campbell is making progress as well, but he didn’t provide any specifics on his status.

“Calais is doing well,” Harbaugh said. “He’s making progress, but I don’t have any more information on him right now.”

The Ravens will be hoping to get both Oweh and Campbell back soon as they look to make a push for the playoffs. Having two of their top pass rushers back in the lineup would be a huge boost for their defense.

It remains to be seen when Oweh and Campbell will be able to return, but it looks like the Ravens are getting closer to having both players back on the field.
