The New York Knicks have been dealt a major blow with the news that guard Dennis Randle will miss the remainder of the regular season with an ankle sprain.
Randle has been a key contributor for the Knicks this season, averaging 10.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. He has been a reliable presence in the starting lineup, playing in all but one of the Knicks’ games this season.
The injury occurred during the Knicks’ game against the Miami Heat on March 19th. Randle had to be helped off the court and was later diagnosed with a sprained ankle. The severity of the injury means that Randle will not be able to return to action until the playoffs, if the Knicks make it that far.
The loss of Randle is a major setback for the Knicks, who are currently in the middle of a tight race for the final playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. Without Randle, the Knicks will have to rely on other players to step up and fill the void left by his absence.
The Knicks will also have to adjust their game plan in order to compensate for Randle’s absence. Without his scoring and playmaking ability, the team will have to find other ways to generate offense.
The Knicks will undoubtedly miss Randle’s presence on the court, but they must now focus on finding a way to make up for his absence and secure a playoff berth.
