The Purdue Boilermakers have reclaimed the No. 1 ranking in the AP Top 25 college basketball poll, while the Arizona Wildcats have moved up to No. 2. The Boilermakers, who had been ranked No. 2 for the past two weeks, received 24 of the 65 first-place votes this week. The Wildcats, who had been ranked No. 3, received 18 first-place votes.

The top five teams remain unchanged from last week, with Gonzaga at No. 3, Baylor at No. 4 and Iowa at No. 5. Villanova, BYU and Colorado State all enter the top 20 this week, with Villanova moving up to No. 8, BYU moving up to No. 17 and Colorado State moving up to No. 20.

The Boilermakers have been one of the most consistent teams in college basketball this season, with a record of 21-3 overall and 13-2 in the Big Ten Conference. They have won their last nine games, including a win over then-No. 3 Iowa on Saturday. The Wildcats have also been impressive this season, with a record of 19-5 overall and 12-4 in the Pac-12 Conference. They have won their last four games, including a win over then-No. 7 UCLA on Saturday.

The Big Ten and Pac-12 continue to be the two strongest conferences in college basketball this season, with both conferences having four teams in the top 10 of the AP Top 25 poll. The Big 12 has three teams in the top 10, while the ACC has two teams in the top 10.

The top 25 teams will continue to battle for position in the rankings over the next few weeks as they prepare for the NCAA Tournament in March. With Purdue and Arizona at the top of the rankings, it looks like it could be a very exciting tournament this year.
