The National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL) is set to launch its sixth season in 2021, and it’s bringing three new markets to the table. The league is expanding to the United States with the addition of the Connecticut Whale, the Minnesota Whitecaps, and the Toronto Six. In addition, the NWHL is also adding three Canadian teams: the Montreal Canadiennes, the Calgary Inferno, and the Vancouver Warriors.

The Connecticut Whale will be based in Stamford, Connecticut and will play their home games at Terry Conners Rink. The team will be led by head coach Colton Orr and will feature a roster of talented players from around the world. The Minnesota Whitecaps are based in St. Paul, Minnesota and will play their home games at TRIA Rink.
