It has been a long road to recovery for NASCAR driver Ryan Preece, but he is finally ready to get back in the driver’s seat. After a crash at Daytona International Speedway in February, Preece has been working hard to get back to racing. Now, he is set to return at Darlington Raceway for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race on May 8th.
Preece was involved in a multi-car crash during the Daytona 500, which left him with a concussion and a broken sternum. He was unable to race for the next two months while he recovered from his injuries. But now, Preece is feeling better and ready to get back on track.
“I’m feeling really good,” Preece said. “I’m excited to be back in the car and ready to go racing again.”
Preece has been preparing for his return by running simulator sessions and doing physical therapy. He is also working with NASCAR officials to ensure that he is cleared to race.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back out there,” Preece said. “I’m feeling confident and ready to go.”
Preece is looking forward to getting back to racing at Darlington Raceway, which is one of his favorite tracks. He has had success at the track in the past, winning the Xfinity Series race in 2018.
“I’m really excited to be back at Darlington,” Preece said. “It’s one of my favorite tracks and I’m looking forward to getting back out there and competing.”
Preece’s return will be a welcome sight for NASCAR fans, who have been eagerly awaiting his return. He is sure to be a contender when he takes the green flag at Darlington Raceway on May 8th.
