The Portland Trail Blazers have been on a roll lately, and their latest win against the Sacramento Kings is proof of that. Led by guards Anfernee Simons and Zach Reath, the Trail Blazers defeated the Kings 130-113 in a thrilling matchup.
Simons led the way for the Trail Blazers with an impressive 33 points, while Reath added 22 points of his own. The two guards combined for 55 points and were the driving force behind Portland’s victory. Simons was particularly impressive, shooting 11-of-17 from the field and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. He also added four rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the win.
Reath also had a strong performance, shooting 8-of-14 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point range. He added seven rebounds, four assists, and two blocks to his stat line. The two guards combined for an impressive 55 points and were the difference makers in the game.
The Trail Blazers also got solid contributions from their other players. Center Jusuf Nurkic had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while forward Carmelo Anthony contributed 14 points and five rebounds. Guard Gary Trent Jr. added 13 points off the bench, while forward Derrick Jones Jr. chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds.
The Trail Blazers’ victory over the Kings was their fourth straight win and their fifth in six games. With Simons and Reath leading the way, Portland looks to be on track to make a deep run in the playoffs this season.
