The Penn State Nittany Lions extended their winning streak against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights to 17 games with a 27-6 victory on Saturday. The Nittany Lions were led by a stellar performance from quarterback Drew Allar, who threw for two touchdowns and ran for another.

Allar was efficient in the air, completing 18 of his 22 passes for 192 yards. He also added a rushing touchdown in the second quarter to give Penn State a 14-3 lead. Allar was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for his performance.

The Nittany Lions defense also played a key role in the victory, limiting Rutgers to just six points and forcing two turnovers. Linebacker Micah Parsons had a team-high eight tackles, while defensive end Shaka Toney had two sacks and forced a fumble.

Penn State’s offense was balanced, with running back Journey Brown leading the way with 85 yards on 15 carries. Wide receiver Jahan Dotson had four receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown, while tight end Pat Freiermuth had three catches for 37 yards and a touchdown.

The Nittany Lions now have a 4-5 record on the season and will look to keep their winning streak alive next week when they take on the Indiana Hoosiers. With Allar at the helm, Penn State has a good chance of extending their winning streak to 18 games against Rutgers.
