On Saturday, the Penn State Nittany Lions defeated the Indiana Hoosiers 33-24 in an exciting Big Ten matchup. The game was close throughout, with the score tied at 24 late in the fourth quarter. With just over two minutes left in the game, Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford connected with wide receiver Jahan Dotson for a crucial first down. On the next play, Clifford found tight end Pat Freiermuth for a 20-yard gain. Finally, Clifford connected with wide receiver Daniel George for a touchdown to put the Nittany Lions ahead for good.

The real hero of the game, however, was wide receiver Jahan Allar. With just over a minute remaining, Allar caught a pass from Clifford and ran it into the end zone for a 33-yard touchdown. The touchdown gave Penn State a 10-point lead and sealed the victory. Allar finished the game with five receptions for 101 yards and the game-winning touchdown.

The Nittany Lions were also aided by a strong performance from running back Journey Brown. Brown ran for a career-high 196 yards on 25 carries and scored two touchdowns. He was the first Penn State running back to rush for over 100 yards in a game since Saquon Barkley in 2017.

Penn State’s defense also played well, holding Indiana to just 24 points and forcing two turnovers. Linebacker Micah Parsons led the way with 14 tackles and two sacks. Safety Lamont Wade also had an interception and a fumble recovery.

The win was especially sweet for Penn State wide receiver KJ Hamler, who was playing his first game since suffering an injury in week two. Hamler had three catches for 32 yards and was instrumental in helping the Nittany Lions secure the victory.

The win was a big one for Penn State, as it keeps them in contention for a Big Ten title. The Nittany Lions will now face off against Michigan State next week in a crucial conference matchup.
