The Pac-12 Conference has announced its midseason awards, and three standout players have been recognized for their outstanding performances. Michael Penix Jr., Kyle Whittingham, and Bradlee Elliss have all been honored with top honors.
Michael Penix Jr., the quarterback for Indiana University, has been named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year. Penix has been a standout for the Hoosiers this season, throwing for over 2,000 yards and 14 touchdowns in just seven games. He has also been a leader on the field, helping to lead Indiana to a 5-2 record and a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game.
Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham has been named the Pac-12 Coach of the Year. Whittingham has led the Utes to an impressive 7-0 record and a spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game. He has done an incredible job of leading his team and has been instrumental in Utah’s success this season.
Bradlee Elliss, a defensive end for the University of Utah, has been named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. Elliss has been a force on defense this season, recording six sacks and 11 tackles for loss. He has also been a leader in the locker room and has helped Utah to its undefeated record.
These three players have all had outstanding seasons and are deserving of their awards. Michael Penix Jr., Kyle Whittingham, and Bradlee Elliss have all been instrumental in their teams’ success this season and have earned the recognition they have received.
