The Oklahoma City Thunder continued their impressive winning streak with a 134-91 rout of the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night. Led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 28 points, the Thunder have now won five straight games and are firmly in the playoff hunt.
The Thunder came out of the gates firing, taking a double-digit lead in the first quarter and never looking back. Gilgeous-Alexander was the star of the show for OKC, shooting 11-of-17 from the field and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. He also added six rebounds and five assists in the victory.
The Thunder had five other players in double figures, including Dennis Schroder (17 points), Danilo Gallinari (15 points), Chris Paul (14 points), Steven Adams (12 points), and Terrance Ferguson (10 points). The team shot an impressive 56.7 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three-point range.
The Blazers were led by CJ McCollum’s 18 points, but they were unable to keep up with the Thunder’s offensive onslaught. Damian Lillard added 17 points, but he shot just 6-of-17 from the field. The Blazers shot just 36.2 percent from the field and 27.3 percent from three-point range.
The Thunder have now won five straight games and are firmly in the playoff hunt. With their impressive offensive performance against the Blazers, OKC has shown that they are a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference. If they can continue to play at this level, they could be a serious contender in the postseason.
