On Saturday night, the No. 9 USC Trojans pulled off an incredible victory over the Arizona Wildcats in triple overtime. After a back-and-forth battle that saw both teams trading leads throughout the game, it was USC quarterback Caleb Williams who ultimately sealed the deal with a winning touchdown in the third overtime period.

The game started off with a bang as USC opened up the scoring with a touchdown pass from Williams to Amon-Ra St. Brown. Arizona responded with a touchdown of their own, and the two teams traded scores for the remainder of the first half. At halftime, USC held a slim 21-20 lead.

In the second half, USC extended their lead to 10 points thanks to a field goal from Chase McGrath. However, Arizona responded with a touchdown of their own to tie the game at 31-31 with just over two minutes left in regulation.

USC had a chance to win the game in regulation, but their drive stalled at the Arizona 25-yard line and McGrath’s field goal attempt sailed wide left. This sent the game into overtime.

In the first overtime period, USC and Arizona traded field goals to keep the score tied at 34-34. In the second overtime period, Arizona took the lead with a touchdown pass from Grant Gunnell to Stanley Berryhill III. However, USC responded with a touchdown of their own to tie the game at 41-41 and send it into a third overtime period.

In the third overtime period, USC finally sealed the victory when Williams connected with St. Brown for a 25-yard touchdown pass to give the Trojans a 43-41 win.

The win was USC’s fifth in a row and improved their record to 5-0 on the season. The Trojans will now look to continue their winning streak when they take on Oregon next week.
