No. 9 Stanford Defeats Portland 81-51 Behind Cameron Brink’s 23 Points and 15 Rebounds

The Stanford Cardinal women’s basketball team had a dominant performance on Saturday, defeating the Portland Pilots 81-51. The Cardinal were led by freshman Cameron Brink, who put up an impressive 23 points and 15 rebounds.

The game started off with Stanford taking a commanding lead, outscoring Portland 22-10 in the first quarter. The Cardinal continued to dominate throughout the game, outscoring the Pilots in each quarter. Stanford was able to capitalize on their size advantage, as Brink was able to use her 6’4″ frame to grab 15 rebounds and score 23 points.

Brink was not the only one to have a great game for the Cardinal. Sophomore Kiana Williams had a double-double, scoring 16 points and dishing out 10 assists. Senior Lexie Hull also had a strong performance, scoring 15 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.

The win was a big one for Stanford, as it improved their record to 9-2 on the season. It was also a great way for the Cardinal to start off their Pac-12 schedule, as they will face off against Oregon State next week.

The performance of Cameron Brink was especially impressive, as she continues to make a name for herself in her freshman season. She is quickly becoming one of the best players in the Pac-12 and is a big part of why Stanford is having such a successful season.
