The Missouri Tigers pulled off a stunning upset in the Cotton Bowl on Saturday, defeating the No. 7 Ohio State Buckeyes 14-3. The Tigers were led by quarterback Connor Schrader, who had a career day with 128 passing yards and one touchdown.

The game was a defensive battle throughout, with both teams struggling to move the ball. Missouri was able to get on the board first, however, when Schrader connected with wide receiver Jaden Johnson for a 20-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. The Tigers then added a field goal late in the fourth quarter to take a 10-3 lead.

Ohio State had a chance to tie the game late in the fourth quarter, but their drive stalled at the Missouri 10-yard line. The Tigers then sealed the win with a late touchdown run by running back Larry Rountree III.

Schrader was the star of the game, completing 12 of his 18 passes for 128 yards and one touchdown. He also added 42 rushing yards on seven carries. Rountree III also had a strong performance, rushing for 91 yards and one touchdown on 21 carries.

The win was a huge upset for Missouri, who entered the game as a nine-point underdog. It was also a big win for head coach Eliah Drinkwitz, who is in his first season with the Tigers.

The win gives Missouri an 8-4 record on the season and puts them in contention for a New Year’s Six bowl game. Ohio State, meanwhile, falls to 7-2 on the season and will likely drop out of contention for a College Football Playoff spot.
